CNN columnist and SiriusXM radio host Dean Obeidallah, a self-professed “American Muslim,” has openly declared that whenever somebody dies from an opioid overdose from here on out, it’s automatically the fault of President Donald Trump.
In a shockingly pointed and nasty tweet, Obeidallah condemned the president for appointing a “GOP pollster,” referring to Kellyanne Conway, to head the fight against the opioid scourge that’s ruining American lives. Obeidallah claimed in the same tweet that “more Americans will die because of Trump’s incompetence,” adding that “Trump should be charged with manslaughter!”
The unhinged rant came in response to a tweet that the president himself issued in response to a letter he received from Sue Kruczek, the mother of a Nick Kruczek, a young man who reportedly died from opioid addiction, Kruczek had said some very nice things about President Trump during a segment that aired on Fox and Friends, and the president responded via social media to thank her.
“Thank you to Sue Kruczek, who lost her wonderful and talented son Nick to the Opioid scourge, for your kind words while on @foxandfriends,” the president wrote. “We are fighting this terrible epidemic hard — Nick will not have died in vain!”
It was a kind gesture that any normal, decent person would have recognized as honorable. But not Dean Obeidallah. The highly-opinionated, Trump-hating “political comedian” was quick to spew his loathing against the president – who, by the way, is the only president in recent history who’s not only taken an aggressive stance against pharmaceutical drug abuse, but is also trying to fight Big Pharma’s longstanding price monopolies that hurt average Americans.
But wait, didn’t President Trump’s budget proposal contain provisions allowing for more money to “expand treatment, recovery and mental health services” for people afflicted by opioid addiction? Why yes, yes he did. And doesn’t this mean that the president is concerned with helping opioid addicts, and preventing more opioids deaths? This is also a yes.
This means that Obeidallah’s inane ranting on Twitter represents the complete opposite of reality, illustrating that this CNN hack is more concerned with hating the president than with actually representing the truth. But unfortunately it doesn’t stop there.
In a tweet he posted just one day after the manslaughter nonsense, Obeidallah condemned President Trump’s budget proposal – yes, the same one with the expanded opioid addiction funding – for, get this, subjecting more people to death. Obeidallah tweeted:
“If you like to see people on Medicare, food stamps and Medicaid die then you will really LOVE Donald Trump’s Nasty Budget.”
It seems as though Obeidallah is suffering from a severe form of mental illness, as two days in a row he completely misconstrued reality with the fiction going on in his own mind. President Trump could come out tomorrow and declare that, pending a vote by Congress, opioids are now illegal, and Obeidallah would immediately respond with an erroneous tweet stating that “45” is killing more children by handing out opioids to children with Happy Meals at McDonald’s.
This seems to be the alternative, “fake news” delusion in which Obeidallah lives, and the same one in which his followers also apparently live. These unhinged liberals are literally losing their minds as they grasp at anything to claim that President Trump is a murderer, or a dictator, or a Russian bot, or whatever the liberal talking point of the day might be.
If you’re not convinced, consider some of the other headlines associated with Obeidallah’s delusions, including: “Trump May Be the Most Anti-Women US President Ever,” “Trump Owes Us Money,” and “SNL is Right – Trump’s Chaos is Part of a Plan.”
Dear Dean Obeidallah: Seek help.
