Volodymyr Zelensky’s shopping spree funds are running low, and the Pentagon is once again begging Congress to authorize the transfer of even more American taxpayer funds into his country’s wallet as soon as possible.
Officially, Ukraine needs more money for “weapons and equipment” to fight mean old Russia, which is only part of the story. The rest of the story, as we have been reporting for quite some time now, is that the Ukraine crime machine needs more funds to continue propping up deep state operations such as those dozens of Pentagon-run bioweapons laboratories that operate throughout Ukraine.
Warhawk Michael McCord, the Pentagon’s Comptroller, expressed deep concern about the welfare of Ukraine – but never for the American people who are being bled dry to keep Zelensky’s regime intact – if Congress refuses to send more cash to Kyiv.
“I write to express the Department of Defense’s deep concern with the absence of [new] security assistance funding for Ukraine,” McCord gushed. “[We are] anxious to avoid a lapse in appropriations, but it is important that a [continuing resolution] protect our security interests and uphold our commitments and our values.”
Those “commitments” and “values” have nothing to do with supporting the welfare of Americans who are being priced out of survival with skyrocketing inflation, low wages, and a constant invasion of illegal migrants who are swarming the country by the hundreds of thousands. No, it is all about Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine.
“We have already been forced to slow down the replenishment of our own forces to hedge against an uncertain funding future,” McCord added. “Failure to replenish our military services on a timely basis could harm our military’s readiness.”
(Related: Back in May, we reported that the Pentagon had “accidentally” overvalued the amount of “military aid” it had sent to Ukraine by at least $3 billion.)
The reason McCord is having to grovel and beg like this is because a growing number of congressmen, particularly on the right, are done with sending all our money over to Ukraine. America has its own worsening problems that require attention, and these so-called representatives were elected to represent Americans, not Zelensky and Ukraine.
Perhaps it is time to let the “military’s readiness” in Ukraine fend for itself while we deal with our own domestic problems – or is that simply too much to ask of the war hawks in D.C. who have bloodlust on their minds 24/7?
“Without additional funding now, we would have to delay or curtail assistance to meet Ukraine’s urgent requirements, including for air defense and ammunition that are critical and urgent now as Russia prepares to conduct a winter offensive and continues its bombardment of Ukrainian cities,” McCord added in his sob story letter.
“For example, a lack of USAI funding now will delay contracting actions that could negatively impact the department’s ability to purchase essential additional 155 mm artillery and critical munitions essential to the success of Ukraine’s armed forces.”
Again, why is this our problem? For some reason, it is just assumed that American taxpayers have a responsibility to uphold Ukraine, though we are never given any actual reasons why this is in our best interests.
Fake president Joe Biden is similarly groveling before Congress with demands that more money be sent to Ukraine immediately, or else.
“We cannot under any circumstance allow America’s support for Ukraine to be interrupted,” the Pretender-in-Chief recently proclaimed. “The vast majority of both parties … support helping Ukraine in the brutal aggression that is being thrust upon them by Russia. Stop playing games. Get this done.”
